Beef and Potato Bake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack of Sadia Beef Cubes
Ingredients
  • 300g hash brown potatoes, shredded
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/2 tsp brown sauce
  • 100g frozen peas
  • 100g frozen carrot

METHOD

  1. Firstly, pre-heated oven to 190oC. In a large mixing bowl, place the shredded potatoes, salt and pepper then stir together until ingredients are well mixed. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mix again.
  2. Transfer the potatoes to a baking dish and press them down with a spoon or spatula to form a crust along the bottom and sides.
  3. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35 minutes. While the potatoes are baking, add the butter over medium heat in a saucepan until melted.
  4. Gradually whisk the flour into the butter for 2 to 3 minutes until fully combined. Add the brown sauce, stirring until the gravy boils and thickens.
  5. In a separate pan, cook the Sadia Beef Cubes based on the instructions given.
  6. Add the gravy and the peas and carrots to the beef cubes and stir to combine. When the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven.
  7. Spread the beef cubes and veggies over the potato crust, top with the remaining gravy. Return the dish to the oven to bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  8. Slice into equal pieces and serve on a plate!
