Chicken and Seaweed Rice Balls
15 min 4 SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS
- 1½ cups steaming short-medium grain rice
- 30g seaweed flakes
- 300g (1 packet) of Sadia Minced Chicken
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil, more for coating the plastic glove
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- 250g frozen mixed vegetables
METHOD
- In a pan, stir-fry minced chicken. 1-2 minutes before the chicken is browned, add in the frozen vegetables and cook until softened.
- Get a big bowl to mix the rice, soy sauce, minced chicken, cooked vegetables and seaweed flakes together. Mix thoroughly.
- Put on a plastic glove and oil it with the sesame oil slightly so that the rice will not stick when you are shaping them later.
- Put 2 tablespoons of rice on your palm and squeeze lightly until the rice clumps together. Shape it into a ball. If you have cute cookie cutters, feel free to use them to make cute and funky shapes!
- Repeat this process until you have finished the rice.
- Sprinkle your proudly made rice balls with some sesame seeds then serve.
