Chicken Cordon Bleu

INGREDIENTS

Chicken Breast
  • 1 pack of Sadia Chicken Breast 
Ingredients
  • 5 chicken ham slices
  • 1½ cups swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper 
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cups corn flake cereal (breadcrumbs as alternative) 
Sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise 

METHOD

  1. Firstly, use a sharp knife to cut each Sadia Chicken Breast in half horizontally to create two chicken breast halves.
  2. Place the chicken breast halves between two sheets of plastic wrap and use a meat mallet or rolling pin to gently pound them to become thin and evenly spread. 
  3. Next, top each piece with a slice of ham and a ham handful of shredded cheese. 
  4. Roll tightly, tucking the sides a little, and wrap the chicken tightly in the plastic wrap
  5. Refrigerate the wrapped chicken bundles for at least 30-minutes. 
  6. Preheat the oven at 204˚C. While waiting, unwrap the plastic off the chicken and add salt and pepper.
  7. Add cornflakes to a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs. Once done, dip the chicken bundles in melted butter, and then into the cornflake crumbs,
  8. Bake on the center oven rack for about 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through
  9. Once baked, add the chicken on a serving plate with the mayo in a separate bowl on the side. Happy eating!
