Chicken Ghee Roast

INGREDIENTS

Chicken 
  • 1 pack of Sadia One by One Chicken Fillet  

Ingredients 
  • 3 tbsp yoghurt 
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • 1/2 tsp kashmiri chili powder 
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 3 tsp garlic paste 
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp curry leaves
  • 1 tsp jaggery 
  • 1 dried kashmiri chili 
  • 4 tsp kerala curry blend
  • 4 tbsp ghee

METHOD

  1. Firstly, combine the yoghurt, turmeric, paprika, chilli powder and lemon juice, and marinate the Sadia One by One Chicken Fillet in this mixture for 1 hour.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, heat a pan and add the ghee. 
  3. Once the pan is heated, add the curry leaves and the kashmiri chilli and heat till they crackle.
  4. Add the onion, the garlic paste and the tomatoes. Then, fry gently for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Once the ingredients are mixed to form a sauce, turn the heat down. 
  6. Chop the marinated chicken into large chunks and add them to the pan. 
  7. While cooking, add the kerala curry, jaggery and salt. 
  8. Let the curry cook until the ghee dissolves for 30 minutes. 
  9. Finally, add the chicken on a plate and serve with rice or naan bread. Enjoy!
