Old-Fashioned Beef Stroganoff

INGREDIENTS
- 700g Sadia Beef Stir-Fry or leftover roast beef, cut in to strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 500g egg pasta
- 1 medium white onion sliced
- 200g sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 300ml beef broth
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 200ml sour cream
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- salt and pepper to taste
METHOD
- Slice Sadia Beef Stir Fry against the grain into thin slices. Dust with flour to coat. Set aside
- Cook egg pasta according to package directions. Drain well
- Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium high heat. Add in onions and mushrooms and sauté until tender, about 7 mins. Remove from skillet and set aside
- Add in butter and let melt in the same skillet over medium high heat. Add in steak slices and cook until browned, 4 to 5 mins
- Return onions and mushrooms to the skillet. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer until thickened, 2 to 3 mins
- Stir in sour cream and dijon until incorporated. Add cooked egg pasta to the sauc and season with salt and pepper, to taste
- Serve hot.
